I was walking along, on my way home from a hard day at school one day, when I heard a bit of a riot going on in a few streets nearby. I was a bit scared because there was a lot of screaming and shouting and chanting and it sounded as if there was going to be a big battle or something. The noises people were making were like something out of a film and I was scared, but my inquisitive nature pretty much forced me to go see what was going on. As i peeked my head around the corner I noticed the person who I had learnt how to ride my car and motorbike from driving school from. I saw her and wondered what she was doing so I strolled up to her and asked her what the riots were about. She explained to me that there was a riot about female driving instructors. Apparently some men had signed a petition to get rid of female driving instructors as they were seen as useless and that female driving instructors were not as good as male driving instructors and that female driving instructors should start their own driving schools or something. When I heard what was going on I was absolutely shocked. This just was not right. Female driving instructors were just as good and as capable as a man! It was getting out of hand, this riot, and the police were getting involved. I decided I better leave the scene because there was a lot of men marching around and they looked as if they were getting fed up and looked as if they may turn violent any minute. Sure enough, as I continued to walk home and looked forward to telling my parents what was going on and what I had seen, i heard a gun shot which to be honest frightened the hell out of me so I started running because more gun shots were going on and seemed to be drawing closer. I was scared because it was bad enough that somebody was obviously shooting people and I for one did not want to get shot so I ran for dear life. Finally I arrived at home and as I turned on the television the news were covering the riot story. It was strange to think I had just several minutes beforehand been at the scene.
