Two weeks after turning sixteen my parents decided to sign me for a driving lessons course that was offered at the local recreational center for teens and at risk youth. I have attended the center ever since I started attending middle school when my mother decided that I was old enough to be left with friends at the center while she expanded her work hours. I've made lots of friends at the center and we normally choose to entertain ourselves by watching the local teen boys driving the moped their parents would buy them. I never really understood why anyone would want to be seen drivinga moped, it seemed like such a tiny girl version of a motorcycle.
The course required that I takea weeklyonline test to monitor my progress. In fact the first week they had me taking an online test so they can see what I already knew and what I had to learn about driving. The course was always fun, I got to practice behind the wheel of a car and I actually did pretty well if I do say so myself. The course had numerous orange cones and various objects spread through out it. I only hit one can and acted quick behind the wheel when one of the annoying moped drivers decided to jump in front of the car to surprise me. If i didn't think I would fail my test I would have run him over on purpose.
After the one month course had finally come to a close I had to prepare to take my finals that would decide if I was fit to pass and get a drivers license. I had one online test and one behind the wheel test. I wasn't really nervous I had known what I was doing and never really seemed to have trouble grasping the concept of driving. After my tests my teacher told me I had passed and he was both impressed and proud of my driving skills. I knew my parents would be proud and enthusiastic but I never would have imagined they would congratulate me with my own car.
