Paul was a driving instructor and was now finding it difficult with the rising cost of fuel, he could not increase the cost of driving lessons every time the cost of petrol fluctuated. That would simply be absurd and his clients would not know where they stand. He wanted to retire at some point in the future and so had decided not to take on anyone new and just wait till those who he was currently instructing had passed their tests.

Reading the local paper the other day I made a decision that would change my life for the better. Among the adverts for car cleaning and ads showing skip hire costs there was an advert for a driving school. I had always wanted to take my driving test and had dreamed about cruising around in my new car. Unfortunately at present the car and the driving test were just a pipe dream, or at the very least a long way in the future.

Our son couldn't wait to get his own car. I told him first things first; he had to learn to drive. We talked it over and decided I would be the instructor, but he would have to pass a test given out of the local hand book first. Of course Larry didn't see it our way but he soon learned in order to get his car, he would need to give in.
